My Hyperhidrosis Journey

Ever since I went through puberty, I have always struggled with excessive sweating in my underarms.

Shopping and finding appropriate clothing to wear was a hassle and never exciting, being able to wear light or bright colours was always out of the question. This not only limited myself of being able to wear the clothes I liked, but activities I could do as well. I started out with drug store anti-perspirants which only really but a band-aid on the problem and eventually stopped working. I was always on the lookout for products that I hoped would help me this is embarrassing problem. The only product I found that somewhat helped had harsh chemicals that were horrible for you as well as being linked to cancer. Even though it brought me some relief, the process was painful. I couldn’t shave my underarms for a couple days prior to applying the product. When I used it, it would be severely itchy and sore.

This had to be repeated weekly to work, it was so uncomfortable that I had to use it only at night before I went to bed, which would cause many sleepless nights just not to have sweat stains. I knew there had to be a better solution, I researched Hyperhidrosis treatments and came across a product I was already familiar with for my expression lines. I never knew Botox injections could help with my excessive sweating. It is a natural, purified protein with the ability to block the secretion of the chemical that is responsible for “turning on” the body’s sweat glands. This not only can be used for the underarms, but for the palms of the hands, face, and soles of the feet as well.

The process is quite simple. I started with a quick consultation to make sure I was a good candidate. After that, he performed the treatment which was incredibly easy. The total time was about 5 minutes with minimal discomfort. Besides, not having to worry about this embarrassing problem anymore would be worth any sort of pain in my opinion. I am so pleased with the results, I can now wear whatever I like without having to worry about someone seeing a dark looking shadow in my clothing.

I would highly recommend this treatment to anyone who suffers from hyperhidrosis.
